Negishi Watering Cans are handmade by a team of just three people in Sumida, Tokyo. Solder is melted over hot coals then skilfully poured into place to fix the constituent copper parts: a laborious process but one that results in a more attractive finish.

This perfectly balanced shape ensures it pours just the right amount of water, flowing at the right speed in the right place. And when you’re finished, no need to hide it away in a cupboard under the sink: we think it makes a fine decorative object in its own right, worthy of prominent display.
