Advent Calendar

This unique origami advent calendar is based on the Chinese Thread Book (Zhen Xiao Bao) design.

You will create 25 expanding origami pockets to hold small gifts inside using beautiful wrapping paper cased into an archival drop spine box, that you will make on Day 1, using specialist materials from the bindery.

Day 1 – Tuesday 1.30pm -5pm  (Includes cake and refreshments)

Day 2 – Wednesday 9.30am – 4pm (Lunch prepared by Andy of ‘Papaya’ Catering)

All materials will be provided and no previous experience is necessary.

Yvette is a paper artist and bookbinder of British-South Korean origin working across installation and sculpture which explores themes which encompass hybridity, tradition, migration and preservation which relate to ‘the cultural other’ and specifically about my mixed heritage. She studied Textiles at Glasgow School of Art and graduated from a degree in Fine Art at Newcastle University.
