Summer Solstice Scents Candle Making

Come and celebrate the longest day of the year and surround yourself with summer scents and light on our relaxing candle making workshop with Caroline from Bernicia Candles. As well as learning the art of candle making using Eco friendly soy wax we will inspire you with ideas for your alfresco table settings including beautiful floating candles.

Caroline has been creating candles for many years and will guide you through an informative practical course on hand pouring soy wax candles and melts for you to enjoy at home new scents to enjoy on the day will include Green Tomato, English Pear & Freesia and Apricot & Mandarin Blossom.

The course will cover:                                       

• The basics of candle making: wax, wicks and fragrances.
• Making and pouring a three-wick large candle, a fruit-shaped jar candle, tealights, floating candles.
• Hand-rolling beeswax candles

You’ll be fuelled throughout the day with coffee and homecake and a delicious, seasonal lunch prepared by a local chef, Andy of ‘Papaya’.

You’ll leave the course relaxed and refreshed after a day of scented delight, along with your selection of handmade candles and melts.
